TUI River Cruises announces Christmas 2022 itineraries
TUI River Cruises and Marella Cruises unveil their Winter 2022 programs, which go on sale today. TUI River Cruises is announcing five new Christmas and New Year’s Eve cruises, and Marella Cruises is adding new sailing from Barbados aboard the Marella Discovery starting in February 2023.
TUI River Cruise customers can get into the festive spirit with the new itineraries visiting Germany’s renowned Christmas markets and major cities. On board, cruisers can enjoy festive film screenings, traditional mulled wine and the opportunity to participate in activities such as Christmas crafts and stollen making. The river cruise company will also offer regional Christmas dishes in its two elegant restaurants, as well as festive home-style dishes. Plus, guests can enjoy local acts bringing their own Christmas traditions on board.
The river cruise company has added three new Christmas market crossings departing from the new embarkation port of Wiesbaden; Festive flavors, winter wonderland and Christmas on the Rhine. Cruise passengers can expect to visit some of Germany’s biggest cities, with the brightest Christmas markets, and check off famous landmarks along the way.
In addition, the winter program will offer crossings for Christmas Day and New Year from Wiesbaden. The Christmas Celebrations on the Rhine is a seven-night itinerary where cruise passengers will spend Christmas Day in DÃ¼sseldorf and stop in renowned German cities such as Cologne and Mainz. The New Year’s Eve getaway is perfect for guests who want to celebrate the New Year in style by docking in Frankfurt, ready to ring at midnight, before stopping in German and French cities including Mannheim and Strasbourg.
New additions to TUI River Cruises’ winter program mean that guests now have 11 festive itineraries to choose from during winter 2021 and winter 2022. Five-night cruises on Christmas cruises start from Â£ 729 and includes excursion credit of Â£ 85 per person, return flights, transfers, port taxes, tips.
Marella Cruises will also welcome a new sailboat, Tropical Shores, where cruise passengers can explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Caribbean from Barbados aboard the Marella Discovery. The route will sail to the oldest city in the Americas, San Juan, a city full of character thanks to its cobbled streets, brightly colored houses and Spanish squares.
In the direction of the US Virgin Islands, customers will have the choice between two islands, St Thomas, which mixes museums, shops and Fort de Charlotte AmÃ©lie with the beach of Magens Bay, named one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and St Croix, the largest of the US Virgin Islands. Most famous for its award-winning rum, St Croix is ââalso home to many incredible beaches and a snorkeling scene.
