Riviera River Cruises releases 2022 vacation sailing schedule: Travel Weekly

Riviera River Cruises envisions the 2022 vacation with 20 festive departures on six seasonal routes.

Next December, five-day cruises will visit Germany’s Christmas or “Christmas” markets at the enchanting Rhine and Christmas markets in Bonn, Rudesheim, Koblenz and Cologne. The six-day cruise of the Imperial Danube Cities and Christmas Markets will take Riviera guests to Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava, Slovakia.

Customers who wish to sail during the Christmas holidays 2022 with Riviera have several options. Christmas on the Rhine is a seven-night sailing that departs on December 21, 2022, round trip from Cologne. Christmas on the Blue Danube departs on December 22 round-trip from Budapest and includes a visit to Salzburg, Austria, where “The Sound of Music” was filmed. Both itineraries include a Christmas gala dinner, an onboard folklore show, and a classical music concert.

And to ring in 2023, customers can book one of two five-night New Year’s itineraries, either on the Rhine or on the Danube. The Oscar Wilde ship leaves Cologne on December 28, 2022 and the William Wordsworth leaves Budapest the next day. Both cruises include a New Year’s Eve gala dinner with midnight cocktails and canapes, a special New Year’s brunch, and a classical and folk music show.

“We have a wonderful variety of festive holiday cruises to help guests celebrate before, during and after Christmas,” said Marilyn Conroy, Riviera River Cruises executive vice president of sales and marketing for America. North.

Get into the spirit of the season by visiting some of Europe’s best Christmas markets, wake up on Christmas morning with a tree and other toppings on board, or raise a drink alongside other passengers and carry a toast on the arrival of 2023. “

Conroy suggested that with 2022 departures now on sale, “it’s even possible to give that special someone in your life the gift of a European river cruise for the next year.”
