Amadeus River Cruises kicks off 2023 schedule with all-new Saar and Moselle Fairy Tale Itinerary, new ship and 15% early booking discount
Amadeus River Cruises has launched its 2023 river cruise program featuring 18 different itineraries on the Rhine and its tributaries, the Danube, the Dutch and Belgian waterways, the Seine, the Rhône and the Saône as well as a brand new cruise on the Saar and the Moselle and a new ship. With a 15% discount for early bookings valid until 30e November.
The new eight-day Saar & Moselle Fairytales cruise begins and ends in Cologne and travels up the Rhine to its largest tributary, the Moselle, and along the winding course of the Saar, a tributary of the Moselle. As you sail along the winding spine of the Moselle wine region, you can admire its picturesque landscape dominated by steep vineyards. On land you can explore the narrow lanes of Cochem, visit the medieval town of Bernkastel-Kues, the fortified town of Saarlouis and the capital of the German state of Saarland, Saarbrücken, before continuing to one of the smaller Sovereign states of Europe, Luxembourg. At the confluence of the Saar and the Moselle, Trier, the oldest city in Germany, awaits you, followed by Koblenz and the thousand-year-old fortress of Ehrenbreitstein. The cruise takes place aboard the MS Amadeus Brilliant with departures on the 18the May and 19e August.
2023 also sees the introduction of a brand new innovative and eco-friendly five-star ship, the 160-passenger Amadeus Riva which will cruise the Danube and Rhine as well as Dutch and Belgian waterways. Launching in May, Amadeus Riva will offer guests a choice of 12 suites with balconies and 68 outside cabins on three decks, most of which feature drop-down panoramic windows. The new build follows the progressive design and high standard for which the Amadeus fleet is renowned, accompanied by generously designed public areas as well as numerous luxury dining and outdoor venues, including the elegant Panorama-Restaurant , the Panorama-Bar with dance floor, the classic “Café Vienna”, the glazed open-air bar “River Terrace” at the bow of the ship, a wellness area with massage, hairdresser and fitness room and a spacious terrace with casual lounge and open-air restaurant. Amadeus Riva will incorporate the very latest in sustainable travel technology with the vessel’s state-of-the-art engine not only enabling highly efficient energy management but also significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Equally innovative and modern is the ship’s new air filtration system with two-stage purification that removes aerosols potentially containing virus particles from interior spaces.
